Southern Expressway Toll Plazas and Service Buildings

Project Summary

The Southern Expressway project in Sri Lanka is a 126 km long express highway running from Colombo to Matara on the south coast. The Southern Expressway, also known as the Southern Lanka Distributor is Sri Lanka’s first E class highway and longest expressway.

The Southern Expressway comprises of two main interchanges located at Kottawa and Godagama. In addition, there are several intermediate interchanges along the expressway thus facilitating access from different points.

The construction of the toll plazas and service buildings of the Southern Expressway was carried out by the State Engineering Cooperation of Sri Lanka in collaboration with CSEC, the structural engineer of the project.
